Santa Clarita & The San Fernando Valley Sewer Line Replacement

When the camera shows a sewer line that's broken, collapsed or full of roots, cleaning it again only buys time. We replace the section that's failed, or the line, and show you why first.

8 a.m. to 5 p.m., seven days a week. No after-hours emergency service.

  1. Roots, againRoots that grow back after every cleaning are coming in through a broken joint.
  2. Sewage backupWaste coming up in the lowest drain is a line that isn't carrying it away.

  4. Camera says soCracks, offsets and collapse on the footage are the real decision.

How We Handle Sewer Line Replacement

Not every bad sewer line needs to be replaced end to end. Sometimes one joint has separated or one section has cracked, and that section is the repair. Sometimes the whole line is old clay or cast iron that's cracked along its length, and patching it is money spent twice.

The camera decides. We show you the footage, tell you where along the line the trouble is, and give you the repair and the replacement as separate options when both are real options.

Who owns which part of the line, and who may dig in the street, depends on the city. The note below covers Los Angeles and LA County, and your city's own page on this site covers the rest.

  1. A camera inspection to find the failure
  2. Repair of a single failed section where that's enough
  3. Full replacement where the line has failed along its length
  4. Cleanout added where there isn't one
  5. Camera pass after, before backfill

Sewer Line Replacement Questions

Do I have to replace the whole sewer line?

Not always. If the camera shows one failed joint or section and the rest is sound, repairing that section is the job. If the line has failed in several places, replacing it is cheaper than repairing it piece by piece.

Who is responsible for the sewer line, me or the city?

In most cities the owner is responsible for the lateral from the house to the public sewer main, including the part under the street or sidewalk. The rules differ by city, so check your city's page here.
